GRUNTSPLATTER came to be in 1994, gradually evolving into what is now frequently called Noise Ambient. It is a maleable creature that hovers in the gray area between abrasive Noise and Dark Ambient by combining the atmosphere of one with the density of the other.

GRUNTSPLATTER has done releases, for such labels as Desolation House, Eibon Records, Crowd Control Activities, Glass Throat Recordings & others. There have been numerous compilation appearances over the years as well.

GRUNSTPLATTER's, sole member Scott E. Candey has also released material with the following projects... TRIAGE, BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA, CIRCADIAN, UMBRA, GRIMES & CINDER SKIN. In addition to these musical entities he also runs Crionic Mind Records, Crionic Media Design, co-runs Bindrune Recordings, and co-edits Worm Gear Zine.
